With the summer months passing and the weather gets colder, were sure many of you are already thinking about turning your space heating back on. For the most part Heat Genius user’s will set their time periods and let the system run everyday without looking at their app all summer.
This is great as it gives you the comfort of not having to worry about heating all the while making savings on your energy bills.
If you haven’t looked at your app all summer and are now having difficulty’s with the app follow the necessary links below or use the app tour in the Help section of the app.
If you haven’t looked at your app in a long time there’s a small chance that you may see a X or two in your app. This could simply be a battery that has died, follow this link if the app is displaying an X next to one or more of your rooms to find a solution.
Although its advised not to turn the Genius Hub off during the summer months sometimes people may do this. We advise not to turn it off Genius Hub as your other Heat Genius devices will lose communication with the hub.
If you have done this you may notice X’s on many of your room when you start the system back up. If this is the case you may need to go around your home and push a button on your valves to see what they are displaying.
If they display E5 it means they have lost communication with the hub, in this case you can follow this link Valve displays E5 error to learn how to resolve the issue.
